Allan Bezama is a New York City-based jazz guitarist known for his dynamic sound, which is deeply rooted in tradition while pushing the boundaries of jazz. His playing seamlessly blends fluid bebop lines, rich harmonic textures, and a modern rhythmic sensibility, creating an expressive and forward-thinking voice. A graduate of New Jersey City University as a classical guitarist, he began his journey in jazz under the mentorship of the late Vic Juris. Allan has performed with luminaries such as Jeff "Tain" Watts, Mark Whitfield, Steve Wilson, Glen David Andrews, Noriko Ueda, John Benitez, Steve LaSpina, Ari Roland, Tim Horner, Paul Gill, Stacy Dillard, Russell Hall, Paul Sikivie, Nicole Glover, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown, Luther Allison, Benny Benack III, Evan Sherman, and Ruben Fox. Active as both a bandleader and sideman, Allan continues to shape the sound of jazz and has been recognized as one of the rising stars in the New York City jazz scene, as highlighted in an article on Jazzfuel.com amongst other well-known musicians in the scene. He has appeared playing at Smalls Jazz Club, The Deer Head Inn, The Django, Minton’s Playhouse, Arthur’s Tavern, 55 Bar, Brvsh Cul7ur3, Club Groove, and Room 623 to name a few.
